22 Questions for your Venue
Alright ladies, lets face it….planning a wedding can be HARD. It is even more challenging when you are in the middle of a pandemic. Am I right or am I right? There is so much do and time goes oh so fast.
Picking the right venue is one of those BIG decisions to nail down and is a large factor in your big day!
When choosing the perfect venue, you want it to not only have the vibe and atmosphere that you envision but also have the accessibility for all your ideas you have planned while on site! Sorting out the technical details with the venue BEFORE booking is so important! I can not stress this enough! I could share story after story of wedding venue nightmares or hidden fees that were not addressed upon booking.
Before booking your venue, reference these important questions to ask your wedding Venue!
How many hours are included in reservation?
What is the rate for each day? ( Thursday VS Saturday, does it vary with different seasons? )
What is included in the price?
What is the parking situation?
What is your back up plan for inclement weather? Do you provide tents?
Are there any restrictions on photographers?
Is your venue handicap accessible?
If using the same location for both ceremony and reception, how long is the flip time?
If catering is available, will a tasting be available?
Can we bring our own alcohol? If so, is there a corkage fee?
Do you have liability insurance?
Do we need any insurance?
Is there a vendor list that is required to choose from?
Is the deposit refundable?
When is the deposit due?
How many restrooms are there?
What are the decor restrictions?
How much time do we have for set up and clean up?
Are tables, chairs, and/or linens provided?
Do you have a PDF of the different layout options?
How much time is available for the rehearsal?
For send off, are sparklers or fireworks allowed?
